In order to add an announcement to a website you will need access to post announcements. Who ever manages the website should submit an ITSSC ticket requesting access for their employee.
- Login to website at https://yourwebsitesubdomain.rpi.edu/saml/login with RCS Id and password
- Click on “Content” in the top nav.
- Click on “Add content” blue button
- Click on Announcement
- Add title of the Announcement to the “Title” field. And the content of the announcement to the “Body” field.
- Click on “Include in Morning Mail” at the bottom of the form.
- Add a shorter title (if necessary) for Morning Mail
- Add a brief description for Morning Mail (this should be 500 characters or less). In Morning Mail the title will link back to the original Announcement on the research website.
- Choose which section of Morning Mail your announcement should appear (Community, Students, Faculty/Staff).
- Select the dates you’d like the announcement to appear in Morning Mail (select up to 3)
- Click Save.
