This article is here to help show how to create a folder and save course files.
Create Folder Structure
To access the course’s files under the Control Panel click Content Collection and then click the name of the course.
The Files: Course Name window will appear. Click Create Folder.
Type a Folder Name in the Folder Name text box. Click Submit.
Continue to create new folders until you have created the folder structure for your course. A suggestion is to setup your folder structure based on your syllabus and how you plan on teaching your course. You may want to create a folder for each week that contains your lectures, home work assignments, quizzes and exams for that week.
To upload files, under Course Management, Control Panel, click Files, then click on the Course Name.
Click Upload, scroll to and click Upload Files.
Make sure you're in Multiple Files mode. The Upload Multiple Files and Folders window will appear. Click Browse.
Note: make sure you have Java Runtime Environment installed and enabled.
Highlight multiple files or a single file that is located on your computer. When you see the file names appear in the File name text box, click Open.
Note: Instead of clicking Browse, you can drag-n-drop a single file or multiple files and folders into the drag and drop files and folders here area.
Your files that are ready to be uploaded will be listed. You may remove a file by clicking the X in the Remove column located to the right of the file size.
When you're ready to upload the files, click Submit.
An Upload Progress bar will appear for the overall upload and for the individual files. A check mark will appear when a file is finished uploading.
A package is .ZIP file. This option will unpack the contents in this folder. To upload a package, under Course Management, Control Panel, click Files, then click on the Course Name.
Note: To upload a .ZIP file without unpacking the contents, use the Upload Files option.
To Upload Package, under Course Management, Control Panel, click Files, then click on the Course Name.
Click Upload, scroll to and click Upload Package.
Under File Information, click Browse. Navigate to and select the .zip file from your computer. Click Open.
Note: If you are replacing previous versions of files with new files, click the checkbox "If selected, the system automatically overwrites the existing file with the same name."
To Move files, under Course Management, Control Panel, click Files, then click on the Course Name.
Select the file(s) you want to move by clicking the checkbox to the left of the file name.
Click the Options Menu drop-down arrow located to the right of the file name.
Scroll to and click Move.
Under Destination, click Browse.
In the Select Folder window, click the new folder location within the course you want to move the file to and click Submit.
You will see the destination folder in the Destination text box. If this is not the correct destination, click Browse and select another destination within the course. If you are replacing a file with a newer version from your computer, click the checkbox to the left of If selected, the system automatically overwrites the existing file with the same name.
