Overview
The person moderating the conference call notifies all call participants of the conference call. There is no need to make arrangements with Verizon Conferencing ahead of time.
Procedures
Please be sure to include the following information when notifying the participants:
- Date and time of call
- Dial-in number
- Participant pass code number
When it is time to place the call, all participants will call the same dial-in number. If a caller is calling in internationally, provide them with the toll number to use; USA callers will use the toll-free number. After the call is answered, you will hear the following greeting: "Welcome to the Conference Calling Center. At any time during this message, please enter your pass code, followed by the # sign."
- Enter your pass code number.
- Press the pound (#) key.
- You will hear the next greeting say, "Your pass code has been confirmed. You are now entering the conference."
- Instruct the other call participants to enter their pass code number.
- Press the pound (#) key.
- The greeting will then say, "You are now being entered into the conference."
- All participants will be put on hold and hear music until the moderator enters the call.
- Once the moderator enters the call, all parties will be connected.
Please note that there must always be one moderator for the call; without one, the participants will not be connected.
Important note: Only the call moderator uses the moderator PIN#. He or she will be the person who controls the conference call, and who has the ability to control the moderator features. The moderator pass code should be keep confidential from all other call participants.
