Some recent installations of LabVIEW on campus have had difficulty activating, or show that the version is in a 7-day trial mode, or an expired trial mode.
Launch the NI License Manager. If it does not come up via search, it should be located in C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\License Manager\Bin as nilmUtil.exe.
- You should see the NI License Manager page. Note that, under the Field column, the status is Inactive.

- Open the Options Menu.
- Click Preferences...
- Ensure Use Volume License Servers is checked.
- Set the server to LICSRVR23.arc.rpi.edu:27009. Note, the hostname should already be correct, just add .arc.rpi.edu between the host and port.
- Click OK, and LabVIEW should now be able to reach the server to activate.
