Google Pixel Phone Configuration for RPI Email (IMAP)

Overview

Use the instructions below for configuring your e-mail client on a Google Pixel phone.

You will need to download and login to Cisco AnyConnect VPN prior to configuring and accessing this email.

Procedures

1. Settings - Accounts - Add account
2. Personal (IMAP)
3. Enter your RPI email address
4. Enter your RPI email password
5. enter username
6. incoming server settings:
   • • enter username
     • enter password
     • incoming server:  mail.rpi.edu
     • incoming port: 143
     • security type: TLS
     • Next
7. outgoing server settings:
   
   • • Turn on require sign-in
     • enter username and password
     • outgoing server: mail.rpi.edu
     • outgoing port: 465
     • Security type SSL
8. Next - Next - Give it an account name (i.e. RPI email)
9. Your name for sent messages
10. Next
11. Return to home screen
