Overview
This article will provide the necessary steps for uninstalling and reinstalling specific Windows updates.
Procedures
Uninstalling an update on Windows 10
1. Open Settings by typing the word "settings" in the Windows search bar and then clicking on the Settings App option.

2. In Settings, click on Update & Security.

3. Click on Windows Update.
4. Click the View update history link.

5. Click the Uninstall updates link.

6. You'll now be directed to the Uninstall an update popup page. Select the update you wish to uninstall and click the Uninstall button (in the example below, you are uninstalling Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4006670):

7. Click Yes to confirm the uninstall.
8. Click Restart Now to reboot your computer and complete the task.
Note: Depending on the update you're trying to uninstall, the process may take a few minutes.
Reinstalling an update on Windows 10
1. Open Settings by typing the word "settings" in the Windows search bar and then clicking on the Settings App option.
2. In Settings, click on Update & Security.
3. Click on Windows Update.
4. Click the Check for updates button to run an update check. This should redownload and install the previously uninstalled update automatically again.

5. Click the Restart Now button to complete the task.
Note: Not every update installed requires a restart.
