Single Sign-On (SSO) at RPI

RPI uses Shibboleth Identity Provider (IdP) as its central Single Sign-On (SSO) service. Shibboleth enables users to access multiple applications using a single set of credentials and supports both SAML2 and OpenID Connect (OIDC) protocols.

Shibboleth enforces Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and supports passwordless authentication to enhance account security.

RPI is a member of the InCommon Federation, which allows secure identity federation with trusted partner organizations and service providers.
