Overview
How to access email, including shared mailboxes, from Web Browser.
Procedures
If your current email client configuration is not working initially, you should be able to access your individual email as well as shared mailboxes via a web browser until you receive assistance with your email client configuration.
- To access your individual email go to: https://outlook.office.com
- Select school/work account if prompted
- Login with your work Microsoft account which should be: rcsuserid@rpi.edu and RCS password
- accept Duo prompt if presented
- To access shared mailboxes (Note: If you're opening a shared resource that has not been migrated yet you will need to be on the RPI network -- either hard-wire or WiFi wpa2 when on campus or VPN if off-campus):
- While logged into your own email on a web browser:
- Click your initials in the upper right
- Click Open another mailbox
- Enter the mailbox name
- Login with RCS userid and password OR if the shared mailbox has been migrated and you are presented with a Microsoft login: rcsuserid@rpi.edu and RCS password
- accept Duo prompt if presented
- You will be prompted to re-authenticate about monthly
- While logged into your own email on a web browser:
