Overview
GitHub Pages simplifies website hosting by allowing users to serve static web content directly from their GitHub repositories. It automatically renders these files into a functional website, making it easy to share project details, documentation, or personal portfolios.
GitHub Pages can be created with a free personal account. The published site can be no larger than 1GB and has a 100GB per month traffic limit. All published pages are publicly accessible.
Details
Prior experience with Git and managing repositories is recommended to get started. Changes to the website content is done with are done by updating your local version of the repository and pushing it to GitHub.com. GitHub will automatically rebuild the website after it receives the changes through a workflow action that is enabled automatically.
