Overview
Box Hubs use easy to use content portals that allow you to organize, view, share and manage internal and external content. Easily managers all your content in one place. Teams and departments at RPI can develop a central location for self-service access to important information.
Box Hubs allows you to:
- Bring your content together in an easily arranged site (no coding or admin rights needed)
- Add any content stored in Box to a Hub, including individual files and folders
- Share Hubs with both internal and external collaborators
- Track engagement, usage, and performance of your content on a Hub and file-level with built-in insights
- Ask questions using Box AI
- Add metadata to your content to improve the search and filtering.

Procedures
Hubs can be used for:
- New Hire onboarding resource page
- Project knowledge base
- Contact List, Organization charts, meeting recordings for Teams
- Marketing, Sales, Human Resources and Brand Resources
How does Box Hub work?
- Think about a Hub you want to create and possible resources.
- You can customize a hub with your companies branding (logo).
- Gather and add content for that Hub into a content play list (specific order).
- Publish the Hub.
- Securely share this Hub with others (internally or externally)
- Use Box AI to provide insights across multiple documents
- Collaborate across teams/departments
- View how your content is performing across teams with analytics
- Content is secure in Box

Creating a new Hub - Creating and Deleting a Hub
- Click Hubs from the left navigation pane in Box.
- Click the New Hub button located in the upper right corner of the Box Hubs screen.

3. Type the Hubs name and description. NOTE: After the Hub is saved, you can change both the name and description in the edit mode.

4. Click the Files & Folders area to Add any files or folders.

5. Click the Save button located in the upper right corner of the screen and the new Hub is added to the Hub gallery.

Deleting a Hub
-
- Click once on a Hub in the Hub gallery.
- Click the More [ . . .] options menu located in the upper right of the Hub.
- Choose Delete Hub. A message appears: Are you sure you want to delete this Hub? – the Hub is deleted and those associated to the Hub will lose access to some or all files for this Hub.
- Check the I acknowledge this action cannot be undone box.
- Click Delete.
