Overview
Mobility Print simplifies the printing process for environments supporting a variety of Operating Systems. While it was initially introduced as a method for individuals to print from their mobile devices, it has expanded to support most modern operating systems. This article will provide step-by-step instructions on how to download, install, and configure Mobility Print on macOS devices.
Procedures
Students:
- Go to the following URL and download the Mobility Print Client for macOS:
http://printers.win.rpi.edu:9163/setup - Click Download to download the Mobility Print Client
- Select default settings during installation
- When prompted, enter your local administrator credentials to complete the install
- Once installation completes, confirm you see a list of printers:
- System Settings -> Printers & Scanners
- When ready to print, this same list of printers will populate.
- Use the printer description on the right of the printer name to identify the printer location
- Submit the print job
- When asked for credentials to use the printer, enter them in the following manner:
- Name: RCS userid
- Password: RCS password
- To save this credential to your Keychain, click the checkbox at the bottom "Remember this password in my keychain"
Faculty & Staff:
- Go to the following URL and download the Mobility Print Client for macOS:

- Select default settings during installation
- When prompted, enter your local administrator credentials to complete the install
- Once installation completes, confirm you see a list of printers:
