Course Gradebook

Access the Course Gradebook

Open the Gradebook from the top navigation bar on the course outline page. There are four views of the course Gradebook (overview, gradable items, grades, students) that you can toggle between depending on your preference and what you are trying to accomplish.

Gradebook Menu Tabs

Gradebook has several ways that you can view your student information and feedback to help you keep track of their grades. The Gradebook Menu tabs are highlighted in the image below. 

Instructors - Leave Yourself Private Notes in the Gradebook

You can add private grading notes to student grades. After a score is assigned, the new Feedback & Notes menu option is available. Consider leaving yourself documentation for grading decisions or grade adjustment. Grader notes are private to graders and not visible to students.

Those with grading privileges can access Feedback & Notes from two places: 

• The Grades tab in the Gradebook by selecting a specific score.
• The Submissions list page for an assessment, select the More menu for a student
