Overview
This Standard Operating Procedure establishes guidelines for configuring Secure Print on the Xerox D9100 printer and the subsequent release of documents. The purpose of this SOP is to:
- Reduce Abandoned Print Jobs: Minimize the accumulation of unclaimed print jobs, thereby optimizing printer usage and resource management.
- Mitigate Unauthorized Access: Prevent unauthorized individuals from viewing or obtaining printed confidential materials.
- Protect Confidential Information: Ensure the security and confidentiality of sensitive documents throughout the printing process.
Scope:
This SOP applies to all employees and authorized personnel who utilize the Xerox D9100 printer for printing documents.
Procedure
Print Driver Configuration (on your computer):
- When printing a document, go to the printer preferences.

2. Look for a section related to Job Type or Secure Print.

3. Select "Secure Print."
4. Enter a passcode (remember this, you need this code to release the print job at the printer).

5. Your passcode must be 4 or more characters for added security.

6. Click “Apply”
7. Click “OK”

Releasing the Print Job at the Printer:
- Go to the Xerox D9100 control panel.
- Find the list of print jobs.
- Select your secure print job.
- Enter the passcode you set during the print job setup.
