Assign Grades Using a Rubric
On the submission page, rubric or in the gradebook, you can edit or type in a learner's grade using the pill shaped space.
Enter the grade you are assigning to the rubric criteria.
Grading
When you grade items, you will input grade values and feedback. You also have the ability to remove submissions (to give a learner a chance to resubmit) and control when grades post to learners. The grade value you enter will vary depending on the grade unit setting you selected when creating the item.
Feedback is an essential part of the grading process as it provides detailed insight into why the learner received a specific grade. Feedback can be added for all attempts to the item within the submission page. From the grades area select an individuals submission and then click on the add feedback icon. A panel opens allowing the teacher to view the submission while entering text, inserting links, images, videos, or local files.
Learners will not see their grades until you post them. You can release each one as you grade it, or wait until you have graded all submissions and then release them all at the same time. Once posted, your gradebook shows "Posted" next to the grade value.
Post Grades
Post appears next to each grade you haven't released yet. You can choose which grades to post and when. Posted grades appear with a Posted message in the column. You can also grade all submissions for an item in succession and then select Post all grades to release all grades in one action.
Download Assessment Results
An instructor may want to download the assessment results for further analysis of grades or to compile assessment data. The assessment results can be download from either the list or grid view of the gradebook in either an Excel spreadsheet (.xls) or comma separated value file (.csv). The results can be formatted by student or by question and student and include all attempts or specific grade attempts.
