Rensselaer is installing a IBM Quantum System One computer. This computer will be available for use by our students, faculty and research partners. Ahead of our on premise system completion IBM has made other Quantum System One computers available for our use.
Quantum computer access
RPI community members can request access to use our new Quantum System. To request access please fill out the access request form at https://forms.office.com/r/g27dUPVm6x . Once completed your access request will be be approved in a 1-2 business days.
Getting started
If you are new to quantum computing check out the tutorials at https://qiskit.org/documentation/tutorials.html and the Qiskit YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/qiskit . They are a great way to get an introduction to this new technology.
Assistance
If you need assistance with getting access to our quantum systems or have questions please open a support in ITSSC. While our IT staff is knowledgeable about accessing the quantum systems and using Qiskit they are not quantum programmers. If the nature of your problem is with quantum programming or algorithm design within Qiskit it may be best to contact the IBM Quantum Support team at ibmq@us.ibm.com.
