If someone shares a file with you from Box and you can't open it, it is often because you have not registered for a Box account.
Register for a Box account using the official registration link.
Registration is free and required only once.
Without registration, you cannot open shared Box files or folders.
After registration, you can collaborate and access shared content seamlessly.
Overview
Box is a cloud file sharing service like Dropbox, Google Drive, or Microsoft OneDrive and is offered to Rensselaer students, faculty and staff free of charge. If you would like to utilize Box or your Instructors/Colleagues are sharing information in Box, you do need to register for a Box account before being able to collaborate using this service.
