Uninstalling VPN from a Mac sometimes does not fully uninstall and requires a command line to complete the process
- MacOS 10.15 or newer
- Cisco AnyConnect client 4.X or newer
- You must have administrator privileges to uninstall the VPN Client. If you do not have administrator privileges, you must have someone with administrator privileges uninstall the product for you.
- We recommend that you uninstall any previous version of the VPN Client for Mac OS X before you install a new version.
Open a terminal window (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app)
Run the following command: sudo /opt/cisco/anyconnect/bin/vpn_uninstall.sh
Enter your password
Answer Yes when prompted to remove all profiles and certificates
