Overview
With Webex versions 43.7 and earlier reaching end of life on Thursday, May 30th, updating your Webex client is critical to keeping the program functional and secure. Most desktop applications will keep updated automatically. However, this article will show you the process that you need to take to check if your Webex is up to date and update it if need be.
Procedures
1. Open the WebEx desktop application and sign in.
2. In the Webex app, there will be a small exclamation mark labeled Help
[Help Symbol in the bottom left in the Webex client]
3. Under Help, Select the Check for Updates option
[Check for updates under the help icon to see if an update is available]
4. If there is already an update available, there will be a refresh Icon and it will state Update ready.
You would then be presented with two options:
Restart now to install the new version or I'll do it later to install the update later.
5. If there is no update available, you will get a pop up stating you are up to date and your version number.
