Obtaining Your Long-Distance Authorization Code

Overview

Rensselaer faculty or staff members must have an authorized department contact in order to receive a long-distance authorization code.  This code is only needed for dialing internationally.  Codes are no longer needed for North American long distance dialing.  

Details

Your department business admin would need to open a service request with the following information:

• Your name
• Rin number 
• Phone number
• Department contact
• Department
• Room number
• Account number to be charged

It normally takes 24 hours for the authorization code to be activated. You will receive notification of your authorization code by e-mail.
