There are a few key terminology differences between Original Course View and Ultra Course View.

- 6 dot icon: move an item
- Base Navigation refers to the main left-side menu in Blackboard.
- Course Item: An umbrella terms that encompasses all the different elements in a course, such as a Learning Module, Folder, etc.
- Document: A Document in an Ultra course is what is called an Item in an Original course.
- Gear icon: is Settings panel, the behind the scenes
- Gradebook: The Gradebook in an Ultra course refers to what is called the Grade Center in an Original course.
- Pencil icon: means Edit
- + sign (Plus sign): means Add, such as add content.
- Release Conditions: are the old Adaptive Release in Original courses
