How to Install BlackBoard on Apple iPad

Overview

Procedure for installing and setting up the Blackboard app on your iPad.

Procedure

1. Go to the App Store
2. Tap on Search in the lower right corner
3. Type Blackboard into the search bar
4. Tap Get, then tap Install (you may be prompted to enter your Apple ID password)
5. Tap Open
6. Tap Allow or Don't Allow on the Blackboard Notification screen
7. Type in Rensselaer in the Type your school's name field
8. Tap on Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 
9. Tap on Web Login
10. Tap Ok on the Privacy, cookies and terms of use screen
11. Tap on Login with Rensselaer credentials
12. Enter RCS ID and RCS password
13. Tap Agree on the Blackboard terms of use screen
14. Tap Continue on the Stay Connected with Messages screen
15. Tap on the the icon with 3 horizontal bars in the upper left corner to bring you to the Menu options. Here you will find your User account, Activity Stream, Courses, Organizations, Grades, Due Dates and Settings.
