If a machine's Date and Time settings are not correct, certain web pages will not load. This is a known issue for new laptops being picked up and attempting to access an electronic text book through the Pearson website. Fixing the date and time settings as outlined below will allow student to view their electronic text books.
1. Click on the Start menu in bottom left of Desktop
2. Type in Date & Time.
3. Click once on Date & time on the left side.
3. Change time zone to (UTC-5:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)
4. Click the Sync Now button
