Overview
Steps if you are continually getting a Windows Security login pop-up when configuring Outlook. After following these steps go back to configuring Outlook.
Procedures
Reset the Windows Credential Manager:
- Windows search bar search on: Credential Manager
- Click on: Windows Credentials
- Under Generic Credentials look for Microsoft Office and/or MS Outlook
- If exist - click the V to the right of each
- Click Remove
- Click Yes
Changing Outlook Security Settings - if the above does not work:
- Open Outlook
- Click on File - Account Settings - Account Settings
- Double click on yuor email address
- Click on More Settings
- Click on Security tab
- Uncheck the box next to Always prompt for logon credentials
