Overview
Use these steps to create Rensselaer's special Bicentennial signature in your Outlook client.
Procedures
Show your Rensselaer spirit and help celebrate the Institute's 200th birthday by including this new signature template to your Outlook mail!
- First, save the RPI 200 logo by following the steps listed below the image. Alternatively, you can scroll down to the bottom of this article and download the RPI200.png attachment.
- Right-click on the above image, then left-click on the Save Image As... option to save the image as a .png file to your computer.
- In Outlook, go to the File tab and click Options.
- Click on Mail in the Outlook Options listing at the left.
- Under Compose Messages, click on the Signatures... button.
- In the Email Signature tab, click New.
- Type in a name for the new signature, such as Rensselaer200, and click OK.
- Copy and paste the following template, into the Edit Signature field, personalizing the appropriate information:

rensselaerfirsts.com - Select all the text and choose "Source Sans Pro" font and "bold" your name.
- Replace "email" with your email and add hyperlink (you can also make the text red)
- Add the Rensselaer logo to the bottom of your new signature:
- Click on the Insert Image icon:
- Browse for the .png file you recently saved for the RPI200 logo, and click Insert.
- Click Save.
- Under Choose default signature, use the drop-down menus to select your newly-created signature to use it with any new email messages you send out, and/or to reply to or forward any existing mail messages you’ve already received.
- When you’ve finished, click OK, and then OK again to exit the Outlook Options window.
