Overview
This document contains the basic instructions for successfully printing/plotting from Microsoft PowerPoint.
Adobe Illustrator is the preferred program for plotting in color. This program is available in the Adobe creative cloud suite or on the VCC Lobby computers.
Procedures
1. Open Microsoft PowerPoint -> Select Blank Presentation or Open your ppt file.
2. At the top of the page, Select Design -> Slide Size

3. Setup dimensions for the Slide: Select Custom Slide Size, Enter your preferred dimensions (Standard is 36 w x 48 h). The plot has maximum width of 36 inch width with a maximum of 120 inch length (height). Select Orientation to be either Portrait or Landscape. - click OK.

4. Select Maximize - click OK
(Selecting Maximize to ensure that the entire poster size can be used)
4. To fit the new dimensions, your powerpoint layout may be slightly revised. Review layout and make adjustments if needed.
5. Please Note: While this is optional, in order to be considered for a potential print refund, a color bar will need to be included on the plot if requesting a refund due to color discrepancies. Please see the instructions at the below link for Adding the Color Bar to your plot.

6. Select File -> Print, Select your preferred plotter
7. Setup dimensions for printing: Select Printer Properties -> Under Paper Options - select Custom
8. Enter your preferred dimensions (Standard is 36 w x 48 h). The plot has to have a minimum of 36 inch width with a maximum of 120 inch length (height)).
9. Name - change Custom to Custom1 (it just have to have a different name from the default). Select Save -> Ok. Select OK again to close printer properties.

10. Select Print button at top. Print options will close and your poster has been sent to the plotter.
