Overview
The Teams area makes it easy to start a New Posts, add Files and Notes to collaborate in a channel.
Procedures
Teams Icon
This tool is used to make a team or group. These teams and groups can share, post and video chat with everyone without setting up a chat.
NOTE: Anything you post within the Teams area or send will be viewable by everyone in that group. The Chat area is used to send something confidential.
- Click the Teams icon located on the left navigation bar.
- To start a conversation, click the Start a post button.
- Begin typing your message in the post line and then send your message.
Files
The files area under a Team or Group has many features and is where you can create, upload/download files as well as share files to name a few.

Place to create Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Forms for Excel or add links as a file to quickly go to pages on the internet. |

Information is changed to a grid for easy sorting and adding specific column information. Click Exit grid view to return back to the original file view.

Select a document, by clicking a circle to the left of the document and then click Share and a Send Link window appears to complete.

Copy and paste a link to the document in teams.

[Download Button] |
Downloads this file to the download folder under File Explorer. |
[Edit pin Button] |

Shows and saves different views of the file window. |

Opens a filter windows to choose files types and specific dates. |
Notes
Notes is an area where the group can collaborate by adding content, such as instructions or tasks, or minutes from a meeting, etc.
- While in a channel, click Notes at the top bar, and a new note appears.
A text editor windows appears.
2. Click on the page and begin typing the Subject under the date and time that appears at the top of the page.

3. Click under the date/time and begin typing your note. Once you are done, just click Posts or File at the top and the page saves under Notes.
Add a Tab to favorite Apps
Add favorite apps or files into tabs at the top of the channel.

Click the plus sign + at the top of the Notes window.
The Search for apps window appears with apps to choose from.
2. Click once on an app and the app window appears to choose files for that app.
3. Choose My Files to locate a file.
4. Choose the Upload icon to locate a file or folder on your computer.
5. Locate the file and then click Open. The file is uploaded into the app window.

6. Click to choose the file you just added and then choose Save.
The Tab was created at the top and that file will open when you choose the tab. This file can be edited or shared and there are many features that can be used as if this app was opened on your computer.
