Overview
What to do if you get a prompt to accept a new network certificate
Procedures
An updated Incommon certificate, signed by AddTrust CA, for the wifi network on the radius server was installed on campus in June of 2019. As a result of this, some 802.1x users may be prompted to accept the new certificate. Still other users, especially those with Windows mobile clients, will likely get errors and have to follow the specific instructions for their operating system to manually import the new certificate.
Note that all three of the following certificates should be installed and trusted from the Addtrust CA link noted above:
- Root - AddTrustExternalCARoot.crt
- Intermediate #1 - USERTrustRSAAddTrust.crt
- Intermediate #2 - InCommonRSAServerCA_2.crt
Please refer to the Windows website for help with importing or exporting certificates and private keys.
