Overview
OneNote notebooks can be backup and saved in a Network drive. This is useful for all staff in your department to easily access them, along with retrieving different versions. A PowerPoint presentation can be saved using the OneNote desktop app. NOTE: Both options have to be followed while in the Desktop app of OneNote.
Procedures
How to Set a Default Save Location (Network drive)
- With OneNote open, go to FILE > Options > Save & Backup.

In the "Save" section, click on the file location next to "Backup Folder" > Click [Modify...].

Navigate to the file location that you would like to use as the backup location for OneNote (preferably a network drive - S, U, or V and then click [Select].
Saving a PowerPoint presentation
- Open a PowerPoint presentation and navigate to File -> Print
- Under the Printer dropdown, select Send to OneNote

- Click Print when ready to export to OneNote (Don't select Send to OneNote 2016 if using the app).
- Choose the Notebook where you want the slides imported and then click OK. NOTE: For this step to work, the notebook must already exist.
