Getting Started: Setting Default Viewability for Your Presentations

Overview

The site default for all presentations recorded (via Mosaic) or uploaded to MyMediasite is "Private" and presentations must be manually changed after they have been transcoded and are available on the server.

It is possible to change the behavior for either uploads, recordings, or both, so that the default preference is "My Organization" and the video is automatically viewable.

Procedures

If you want all video to be automatically set to "My Organization" after uploading, you will need to change your Publishing Settings.

1. Click on the Account Icon (your initials, next to the search box in the upper right), then choose My Settings from the displayed menu.

2. Select Publishing on the left under My Settings.

3. Click on the drop down for Set visibility of MyMediasite uploads as viewable and select True from the displayed list.

   If you are also recording via Mosaic, you may want to set that option as true.
4. Click Save.

Once this option is set to true, all uploaded videos will be set to "My Organization" automatically after uploading and processing.
