What Is the MSPilot Mailing List?

All identified users of the MyMediasite service at Rensselaer are added to the mspilot mailing list, a method for Mediasite Administration to reach our key users.

MultiMedia Services requests that all Mediasite users remain subscribed to the list and monitor it for updates. Messages are sent only for emergency outage notifications, or announcements of updates and changes to the system.

Why is the MSPilot Mailing List important?

MSPilot list messages will keep you informed of major outages, announced improvements, new features, and new important articles that have been posted to the ITSSC Help Desk site.

We want to keep in close communication with our userbase, and we highly encourage you to: remain subscribed to this list, review all emails, and note any important dates in your calendar.

Getting Added to the List

Automatic Adds to the List

Rensselaer staff who are manually added to the MyMediasite system are also added to the mailing list at the same time.

Faculty Additions to the List

MyMediasite is available automatically for all faculty to use, but they are not added automatically to the mailing list.

Mediasite Administration periodically reviews faculty usage of MyMediasite in order to determine if any current users are not members of the mspilot mailing list, and will add those users.  Proactively, any user can request to be added to the list.

Requesting to be Added to the List

You may submit a support request in order to request to be added, or you may subscribe to the mailing list yourself.

To subscribe to the mailing list, please log in to the Sympa lists interface, and request subscription to our list.

1. Go to http://lists.rpi.edu.
2. Select your Mailing List Domainfrom the choices on the left: lists.rpi.edu
3. Click on the Login upper right then login with your RCS email address (userj@rpi.edu) and password.
4. You can search for the mspilotlist either alphabetically through the List of Lists tab or via the Search lists
5. Click on the list name (mspilot@lists.rpi.edu). In the left menu, select Subscribe.

The mailing list address is mspilot@lists.rpi.edu. Please be sure to add it to your contact list.
