Accessing MyMediasite from Your LMS Course

Overview

Mediasite content is managed through MyMediasite. You can access MyMediasite directly from your LMS course.

Note that MyMediasite is the instructor tool for managing content--uploading or recording video, editing video, editing captions and transcripts, setting security. It is not a tool to be embedded into an LMS course.

Procedures or Details

1. Authenticate to Blackboard at https://lms.rpi.edu using Shibboleth and your RCS ID and password.
2. In Blackboard, click on Courses in the left-hand menu, then click to open your course in the list displayed.
   
3. From the main course page, select View course & institution tools on the right-hand menu.
   
4. In the Books & Course Tools popup, scroll down to select My Mediasite.
   
5. The familiar My Mediasite portal will launch within your course, allowing you to manage videos. When work is done, click the X in the upper left to return to your course.
