Overview
Differences between accounts
Details
There are two basic types of accounts at Rensselaer: RCS (Rensselaer Computing System) accounts and SIS (Student Information System) accounts. It is important to know the difference because they are used for different purposes and with different user IDs and passwords.
- Your RCS account provides access to the campus network, email, and many Rensselaer web applications.
- Your SIS account is used to access your personal information in the Student Information System (also known as Rensselaer Self Service for faculty and staff).
