After uploading or recording content using the Mediasite Desktop Recorder (MDR) or MyMediasite, that content is not yet available to view.
After uploading, all video must be post-processed by the Mediasite system. Some is processed quickly, and other video must be transcoded to transform it into a streamable version that fits within our parameters.
All video takes time to transcode, and is processed in the order it is received across a set of machines available for this purpose. It is possible that this process may take an hour or two if there is a long queue of video waiting to be processed. The longer the length of a video, the longer it will take to transcode.
While the system is able to process several videos at once, if the system is overloaded by a bulk upload process, or several long videos at once, it is possible for a backlog to occur.
If your recorded material is not available after two hours, please submit a Help Request and we can look to see if there were any errors processing the material.
