Overview
Microsoft ended support for Office 2016 for MacOS on October 13, 2020. This article explains how to easily update to the current version of Microsoft 365 for MacOS by downloading and running a de-licensing tool and then signing in to any Microsoft application (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook...) using your RCS email address and password.
This process updates all of the MS Office applications to Microsoft 365 without removing any applications or data on your computer (NOTE: Please remember that it is always important to make sure your data is backed up as a precaution)
Procedures
1. Download and run the License Removal Tool here (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=849815)
2. Open any Office app, and 'Sign In' using your RPI email address and RCS password
3. On the top menu, click Help > Check for Updates.
