Junk Filtering in Outlook or Mac Mail - recommended turn off

Overview

May be beneficial to to configure Outlook to turn off Junk filtering.

Procedures

Outlook for Windows

1. Click Home
2. Delete Tab
3. Junk
4. Junk E-mail Options
5. Choose the level of protection you want. No Automatic Filtering Although this turns off the automatic Junk Email Filter, messages are still evaluated by using the domain names and email addresses in your Blocked Senders List.

Outlook for Mac

1. Click Tools
2. Click Junk Email Preferences or Junk Email Protection

Mail app on Mac

1. In the Mail app on your Mac, choose Mail
2. Preferences
3. click Junk Mail
4. Specify what Mail should do when junk mail arrives. If you want to verify what the filter identifies as junk mail, select “Mark as junk mail, but leave it in my Inbox.”
